 | This is a vast proportion, the largest, of Soul Society. It is also referred to as the Rukon District. This vast area, is made up of 320 different districts, or communities. Districts closer to the center of Soul Society are more peaceful, lawful and pleasant... The districts that are within the best range of the center are districts 1-79. There is a darker side, more like the slums of all these districts, which are districts 80-320. Usually, the Soul Reapers don't associate themselves with the Rukon District.
| 0 | 0 | |  | Sereitei is located deep within the center of Soul Society. It is also where the 13 Gotei reside within. There are four gateways, and four seperate districts within these gateways, it takes roughly ten days to reach each district, or gate. All Spiritual Power is negated, or cancelled if used within the Sereitei due to the material it was built upon, with the exception of the Soul Reaper Academy. Usually, souls whom live within Rukongai, and are bored, or wish to avoid remaining that lifestyle proceed applying for the Soul Reaper academy, to be transformed mentally, spiritually and phsyically into Soul Reapers under 1 of the 13 divisions.

But, alot of prisoners are actually given permission to do things outside, still behind closed doors, and move freely. What drives these prisoners mad, is the gloominess, and isolation of the prison itself. It is under the control of the 3rd 'Detention' Division, and no one may enter unless they disarm themselves of their Zanpaktou, also, you cannot come within the prison, unless you're a prisoner, or you are someone respected, and adept with hand-to-hand fighting skills.
